0 The niceties of life

von Unknown, am 6:03 PM,
Suddenly you are in home and you arrive from one more stressful day of a really stressful week where nothing seems to go right, not even your senses of direction. You maybe are lack of time, you are lack of ideas, you are lack of money or friends or just someone to listen about your day and tell you about his/hers. Suddenly you are sick of the traffic, of the violence, of the ironies of life, of your routine, suddenly you are tired of missing someone, suddenly you are tired of missing something and no matter what you do, you can't fill this gap inside you. Suddenly you realize how life can pass by fast and how easily it can be taken from you.
And you see yourself walking on the streets again, breathing, crossing the traffic because of nothing more than your own instincts, and then you see that smilling old lady looking for the way to the market and you help her, and then you are crossing the door of the bank and the guy who is inside open it to you with a smile just because he is gently and then comming back home you are stopped for a homeless boy asking for food because he is starving and you give him some of the things you just bought on the supermarket because you also were starving and then you hear he saying "thats too much, we can share. I am super grateful already, I don't eat for 2 days now and I don't know for how long I would be like this if it weren't for you. Thank you for existing."
And like a popping reality you come back home with your eyes full of tears and a bunch of good feelings in your heart and you open your window and you see the sky like this.
And suddenly you realize life may be sad sometimes, but there is always beauty on it and often it lies on in the niceties, in the little things and even more often, we forget to be grateful for or sometimes, not even notice.

Have a great day!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1 Osaka Castle

von Unknown, am 6:59 PM,
In less than two months it will be one year since I made the most beautiful and life changing travel of my entire life. I often remember Japan with a beautiful nostalgia, I remember every single place I used to go in every detail and if  I dive deeply in those memories, I still can feel the way I felt when I was there, the sensations, the state of mind, sometimes, even the smell of things. I didn't think I would miss Japan so much, but sometimes that's how we, human beings, work. We only realize the importance and meaning of things after we lose it.
Today I'm gonna take you through one of the most famous, traditional (and in my opinion, exotic) places in Osaka. And yes, as the title already shown, we will go to Osaka Castle!

Osaka Castle is one of the most famous castles of Japan, having an important contribuition in the battles for unification during the Azuchi-Momoyama period in the XVI century. With an area about one square kilometer, the castle was built on two platforms filled with land, with walls of carved stone, surrounded by a moat flooded, like European castles to protect it's occupants from potential attacks that could come from abroad.

And this one is part of another series I will show you in the future, but it's also my magic card to definitely convince those who were not convinced yet, that you should visit this place once in your life if you happen to get the chance! You can't just say no to this astonishing sunset, can you?

The castle is open to the public and is a popular attraction during the season of festivals, especially during the cherry blossom season (which I didn't see, unfortunatelly, but who knows in a next time. While it doesn't happen I stick with the beautiful sunsets I ever saw my whole life).

If you happen to be in Japan and more specifically in Osaka and are interested in know a bit more of the local history (or want to impress your date in a exotic way), feel highly recommended by me to visit Osaka Castle.

Have a great day!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1 On the road

von Unknown, am 5:59 PM,
I know I've been in debt to you and not posting for quite a while now and I am sorry for that, it's just life of student college is not that easy as a lot of people think, we are not living the dream (yet!), we have to work quite a lot there but, hopefully, you will be graduated in something you like to do and it also is an experience that prepare us for the next step of our life which is, basically, being a grown up.
But no, this is not a lesson of moral specially because I am only in the beggining of this journey, which reminds me of traveling, which reminds me of roads, which reminds me that this is the post of today!

Weeks ago I told you I've been in an amazing little holiday in the mountains and it was quite nice for photos, not just the hotel itself, but the road back home, we arrived there at night so I couldn't really take proper pictures, but I guess the road back made up for that misfortune. I personally love landscapes because they don't need much to be astonishing or breathtakingly beautiful, they are like that by nature.

What amazes me about the northeast roads is the contrast of a really warm sun with bright blue sky and dried earth, with the cold air, grey sky and forests we have in the mountains that can be just 10 minutes behind us. Nature can be quite fascinating, don't you think?

Have a great day!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

0 About bad days

von Unknown, am 8:45 PM,

Bad days are not a nice experience and although they are persona non grata, we, eventually, have to been through some, specially when they are regarded to important things in our lifes. But as much as I hate the fact that we need face them eventually, because they can be very necessary, I love the fact that it is also ephemeral. And a good start to get out of this mood could be cuddling a lot of cute kittens, right?
Things are going to get better, until there, I drew you a family of kittens in a box. Hope that them make you feel better.

Have a great day!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

0 D.I.Y Strawberry Banana Ice Cream

von Unknown, am 8:52 PM, ,

"Piece of heaven", that's the perfect meaning of ice cream to me. I'm crazy about ice cream, always have been and probably always will be, and recently I've been trying to eat more healthy. So, adapting things I like to eat into a more healthy cenario helps a lot so I don't miss it, the taste still amazing and mostly important, it's healthy.
Don't get me wrong, I still loving industrial ice cream (please really don't get me wrong!), but if you have the opportunity to make something tasty and (plus) healthy yourself, why don't use this opportunity?

The recipe is pretty simple, quick and cheap. (And tasty! and healthy!)
All you will need (besides love) is:

- 2 Large and frozen bananas
- 2 cups of frozen strawberry
- 1 tablespoon of sugar

How to do:

First, place the strawberries in a bowl or measuring cup, sprinkle with sugar and toss to combine.  Place the bowl in a microwave at 30 second intervals until the strawberries soften slightly and the sugar dissolves in the juice.
Add the bananas and the strawberry mixture to the blender and blend until they reach the perfect consistency, which is when the mixture gets creamy.
The frozen fruits may separate into tiny frozen chunks before it becomes a creamy consistency, so be patient.
When your ice cream stops moving in the blender, you will want to stop and scrape down the pitcher of the blender and stir a few times.  About 2-3 minutes total blending time.
And tada! It's done! Then you either can serve and enjoy or you can also transfer to a freezer about 2 to 3 hours to firm up.
Reminding that this ice cream doesn't have preservatives, so it will firm solid. But nothing that removing from freezer 10 minutes before consummation doesn't make it soft again.

Yes, it is really THAT easy! So why not try out?
While you are still thinking if you really should try or not this recipe, I leave you some pictures to help you decide.

You can't possibly still having doubt in trying this amazing recipe, can you?

Have a great day!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

(E saborosa!

- Duas bananas grandes e congeladas

2 Life and it's surprises

von Unknown, am 9:23 PM,

It impresses me the facility and uncertainty with which life can take you down, but also how easy and uncertain it can make you happy with the same speed. Today had everything to be just one more usual day, one of those not so golden days, but in the last 45 seconds of the second time the game changed. And suddenly my day was bright and warm and lovely. Sometimes you are so busy with things of everyday life that you forget to enjoy the best of things, and sometimes when you are down, the right things come in the right time to remind you that life is good, that you are loved and that it is worth living. Weighing everything in a scale, I couldn't be more grateful for how and with whom life is presenting me.

Today happiness came to me in a shape of a box sent from France with all the love in the world.
How life have been presenting you?

Have a great day!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
